My Adult Ideas

Jana was thirty years old and still had not found the right partner. She had adopted two children named Mandy and Abby. She felt very happy and content without having a partner, but now she was starting to feel a bit lonely. She was swinging with the girls at a local park one day when her daughters looked up at Jana, and asked her what the word "soul" meant. Jana stared at them with disbelief and simply told them that it was a part of their exitstance that they could not simply see. She explained to them that when they die, then they would most likely be able to see a soul.

About that time a young man walked up and asked if his boys could swing with them. He introduced himself as Alan, and his boys were named Jonas and Dwain. He looked down at the girls, and said " I just adore your young ladies!". Jana felt a bit uneasy, but didn't oblige to them playing together. After all, they seemed to be of the same age or close to as of Abby and Mandy.

Alan began to ask Jana several questions that made her wonder if the guy was not a stalker! But, she just answered his questions and kept her guard up very high. He asked her questions like if she was married, did she come to the park often, and what was her favorite hobby. She answered him with quick and easy answers like "No, I am not married, yes, we come to the park often, and I adore reading fiction novels". He then asked if he was coming on to her a bit swiftly. She said that she did feel a bit nervous about all of his questions.

Alan then went on to explain that his former partner was a really nice lady, but she just did not seem to believe the same way that he did. He wanted to find a person that felt the same way about life as he did. He didn't want to get to know a person after they had gotten together.

Jana asked Alan why would he consider even suggesting that they would ever be together in the first place, and that she was simply just not interested at all. He laughed and said that he was sorry, and that he wouldn't bother her again.

Jana, then felt some weight lifted off of her shoulders. She asked herself, " Why was she pushing this guy away?". She then proclaimed that if he wanted to go out on a date with her, then he would simply have to ask her first. They could get to know each other in that way, rather than lurking around at a park, hitchhiking for women!

Alan smiled again, which made Jana feel somewhat comfortable. He then asked her to go to lunch with him the next day. Jana told him that she would join him.

The next day at their meeting, Alan said, " I adore your perfume!". He said that it made her smell like she just walked out of a fresh fruit shop! Jana laughed and asked him what were his such strong beliefs that which made such a controversy over his last relationship. He simply proclaimed that his ex girlfriend did not believe that any person contained a soul. He could not bare to live with someone that felt this way about life.

Jana stared at Alan for a moment, then just swiftly stood up and walked out of the cafe, without uttering one word.
